SWRPC Annual Meeting Scheduled for June 11th

The Monadnock Region is a great place to live due in no small part to the dynamic, dedicated volunteers working across a wide range of community planning issues. These citizen planners serve on municipal boards, spearhead local initiatives, and advance policy change through a variety of avenues. They tackle topics like housing, natural resource conservation, transportation, economic development, and more.  They are building a bright future from the ground up, often without formal training, but with plenty of grit, creativity, and care for their community.

Please join us at SWRPC’s Annual Meeting, where we’ll explore and celebrate the work of citizen planners in the Monadnock Region. Attendees will learn about efforts in Chesterfield to rehabilitate a contaminated property, work in Peterborough to address the housing shortage, and how volunteers helped calm traffic and improve safety in downtown Dublin (see before/after shot above). We’ll also hear from the NH Office of Planning and Development, who will share services and resources available to local land use boards and other citizen planners. The event is scheduled for June 11th at 5:00 p.m. and will be held at Heberton Hall at the Keene Public Library. Please register here. Light refreshments will be served.
